Summer...

Summer. What comes to mind when you think about it? For me I think of sunny days, barbeques, visiting with family and friends, and so much more. This year it means classes, weddings, and learning to be patient when my future is uncertain.

We still haven't heard anything more from the Air Force for Nick. The tentative date for his class is next March but that isn't a sure thing yet. There is such a strong part of me that just wants to know! Now matter the outcome I want to have that information. I know that even if I get impatient it won't make a difference to the people deciding our fate. Their decision will come when it comes and I just need to wait.

One of my best friends got married last weekend, I am so happy for her! Since she was married in the same church I was married in it brought back a lot of fun memories. Being a part of her wedding also made me remember how fortunate I am to be married to Nick. Sarah has been blessed with a wonderful man and so have I. I just need to be reminded of that once in a while.

This is Meg, she is my parents' dog and she is a bundle of energy. I love this picture of her so even though it really has nothing to do with what I'm talking about I put it on here!

Even with my summer classes I have started something sort of new. I'm taking some dance classes again! Well, not really taking, more like helping but it has been great fun. I am currently helping with a ballet class on Tuesday nights and it has been like a breath of fresh air for me. Dancing again, even in this small way, makes me realize how very much I miss it! This is the kind of exercise that makes me feel better about myself! Since I taught dance classes for a while a couple of years ago it was really enjoyable to be on the receiving end of the class and not have to worry about the lesson!

Anyway, it is getting late as I write this and I have sleep to get so I'll write again later! Thank you for reading and let me know if you have suggestions for later entries!

Updates on random stuff...

Okay, random stuff.

My laptop froze up on me while I was trying to type a report for my class. It was very frustrating to have a computer that has problems with Microsoft Word! I mean, how difficult would that particular program be? I know I'm not a computer but really! So, we took it back to the store and I'm going to just save up for another one.

We still haven't heard anything about the Air Force and may not hear anything for a few months.

I'm really enjoying my class, it has sparked some great discussion and I've been learning a lot. One of my favorite professors at Wayland, the teacher of this class, is leaving this summer and the board is interviewing for her position. Sad but interesting to watch!

Besides all that, one of my best friends is getting married this weekend! I'm heading to Gruver today to be a part of that! My life is good and I have been blessed with great friends. I've got to go to my class now so thanks for reading!!

New Toy

I am writing this entry on my new laptop! I am super excited about it too! I've been saving up for this for a few months now and I finally found one I really like! I purchased an Acer Aspire 5810 Timeline and I'm really enjoying it so far. (Sorry if that isn't the technical name for it!) Now I just have to get a good case for it and learn all if it's cool little tricks!

Besides that little piece of excitement, I am starting my first summer class in the morning. Since it starts at 8:00 I really shouldn't be awake right now but I'm a little bit excited. :) This class is about educating students from diverse backgrounds and one of my favorite professors is teaching it so I'm excited about taking it!

In other news, my cats are still fun to be around but our youngest, Chloe, has some major attitude problems. Have you ever seen a cat sit up on their hind legs in order to bat at you with both paws and SPIT in your face? I have, that cat is Chloe. I really do like that kitty but she can be really annoying at times too. I feed her, clean out her poopy box, and show her love, (when I can get close enough) so I don't really know why she seems to dislike me so much. Even as I write this she is clawing her way across my lap and jumping onto Nick's dresser, which he never really appreciates. If anyone knows how to fix a problem cat just let me know!

Well, that's all for now, I better get some sleep before my class tomorrow! Thanks for reading!

Waiting...

So here we are again. I really seem to find waiting frustrating but it sure works on my patience!

Nick has been accepted into the Air Force Officer Program so that wait is finally over and another has begun. We won't be finding out about his class date for a while and that is what will really change our current situation.

I'm truly excited and truly nervous at all of our new changes. I got to see a lot of my family this last weekend and that was really enjoyable and relaxing. They are all excited for Nick and I and encouraging about our situation.

Anyway, there is my latest exciting update! I'm sure I will be writing more in the future when everything pans out! Thanks for reading!!
