Dog-gone Humans!

So, I was at work today and the sweetest little yorkie was there for a bath and stuff. As I watched her I realized that she was constantly running around in a circle, it was adorable but unusual. We were all giggling as we watched her and one of the groomers at the shop told me that this little dog actually lived in a kennel that size. She really didn't have a lot of room where she was so I was incredulous that someone would actually have a dog live in that size of kennel! As we talked, the groomer actually told me that the dog belonged to a breeder and lived in a kennel that size with a male and whatever puppies she had at a time. In my opinion, there should be laws against allowing an animal to have that miserable of a life! How would any of us like to live in a situation like that? I know I wouldn't. I wish I could take that little girl and give her a good home but I doubt the breeder would give her up very easily.

On a very different note, Nick has his flight physical scheduled for this next week, please keep him in your prayers. I know that he wants this position more than anything and it would be so hard if a health issue kept that from happening. As I wait and watch for OTS to come closer I am getting a little nervous. I know that I have a while before that happens and part of me doesn't even want to think about it! I guess I haven't let myself really dwell on it because I don't know how I would handle it. I know that I need to prepare myself and I will, just not right now. :)

Anyway, I suppose that is all for now, I've had a lot on my mind lately with the Air Force looming, homework coming, and moral issues that stay with me. I like to have a way to get things off of my mind and be able to write them down. Thanks for reading! God bless!!

Resolutions?

So, everyone thinks about different things they want to accomplish during the year right about now. I know, I'm late on the whole New Year's Resolution thing, but I don't like to make promises that I can't keep. On that note, making resolutions is a lot harder, do I say that I will exercise more? What if I get too lazy and break that? Do I say that I won't procrastinate on my homework and turn everything in on time? Oops, I've already messed that one up! So what kind of resolution can I make and know that I will accomplish? I could simply put "try" in front of those earlier ones, I will try to exercise more or try not to procrastinate. That makes me sound wishy washy. Well at any rate I know why I haven't made any resolutions.

I want to be a better wife, better student, better friend, and better Christian, that's a whole lot of work! I know that with Christ I can do all of that and more but how do I keep myself focused on that when I have so much happening and taking away my attention from the things that really matter? Well, if I figure anything out I will write again but for now I just wanted to write my questions out and send them into the quiet that is my blog...

Thanks for reading, I'll try to write again soon!
