Hey everybody! I know it has been a while since I have written anything at all but I am excited to finally share my first tutorial with y’all! I am hoping to change my blog up a bit and be sharing some tutorials and things I am working on with y’all.
I got the idea for this project after seeing an infomercial for a similar product. It seemed like a helpful item to have, I just didn’t want to pay the money for it and then hope that it worked like it was supposed to. :)
Here is my problem:
My camisoles were all kept on one hanger so in order to get one particular color, every camisole had to be taken off of the hanger and put back on. This can be very frustrating, especially when I sleep late and I’m in a hurry to get dressed.
My solution:
A hanger designed for camisoles! This hanger has five small hooks to hang the individual camisoles on. This is a very simple project and only took a little bit of time and a small number of resources. Here are my instructions and pictures:
Needed supplies:
• Set of wooden hangers
• Cup hooks (my set has various sizes, I thought they may be useful for other projects around the house)
You may also need a pair of pliers and a drill with some small drill bits.
Getting started:
Try out the different hook sizes with your camisole straps to decide on which size to use. I decided on the next to smallest size for my hangers.
Decide on your spacing, I set mine approx. 3 ½ inches apart (I was using my hubby’s Leatherman to measure so I am not really certain on the measurements).
Start screwing in your hooks! I was able to start screwing them in with only my fingers but the last few turns had to be done with pliers.
Be careful at this stage, I broke a couple of hooks by trying to tighten them too fast.
Continue until you have screwed in all of your screws. Hang up your camis and enjoy your organized, easy to reach camisoles!
I felt like it even organized my closet a little better!
I also chose to make a couple with three larger hooks for my bras, a simple way to organize and let them air dry after they’ve been washed! I didn’t put a picture of that one in action just because I didn’t really want to show y’all my undies! :)
I hope you enjoy reading my first tutorial, if you have any questions just write me a comment and I’ll write you back!
Thanks for reading!
